The Flourishing Research Collective is a nonprofit, member-funded organization that investigates the peptide supply chain — distinguishing synthesis-origin manufacturers from reseller-marketed products, and verifying compound identity and purity through independent analytical chemistry.
To bring scientific rigor to the grey-market peptide supply chain — identifying real sources, verifying what is actually in the vial, and publishing what we find, including what fails.
The grey-market peptide supply chain has multiple layers. At the top are synthesis laboratories that manufacture peptides from raw materials. Below them are resellers who purchase bulk product, repackage it, and market it directly to consumers — often presenting themselves as laboratories.
We trace products back to their synthesis origin where possible. We obtain batch-specific certificates of analysis (COAs) and submit them for independent verification through analytical laboratories using mass spectrometry and HPLC. A vendor-published COA is a claim. An independently verified COA is evidence.
When a compound fails verification — wrong identity, sub-purity, contamination — we publish that too.
Trace a product to its actual manufacturer. Distinguish synthesis labs (Bachem, RS Synthesis, GenScript, Biomatik, and others) from resellers who relabel bulk product. Vendor self-identification is not accepted as evidence of manufacturing capability.
Obtain batch-specific certificates of analysis from the vendor. A valid COA references a specific batch number, specifies purity by analytical method, and is traceable to the product in hand. Generic or batch-unmatched COAs are rejected.
Submit samples to independent analytical laboratories (e.g., Janoshik, Finnrick) for mass spectrometry and HPLC analysis. Compare results against the vendor-provided COA. Identity, purity, and the presence of contaminants are reported.
Verification results are published to members — including failures. A compound that passes is documented. A compound that fails is documented. The goal is a track record, not a marketing surface.
The Collective is funded entirely by member contributions. There are no investors, no product sales, and no advertising.
The Collective does not sell, prescribe, or distribute peptide compounds. Members receive the findings of our verification work. Any decisions regarding personal use of compounds are made independently by members and are not directed, endorsed, or facilitated by the Collective.
